About This Place

Welcome to Mytiburger, a hidden gem nestled at 9405 Kempwood Dr, Houston, TX. This charming hamburger restaurant stands out not just for its delicious offerings but also for the warm, welcoming aura that seems to embrace every guest. As a food reviewer from Grubbio, I had the pleasure of diving into the culinary delights that Mytiburger has to offer and believe me, it was an experience worth savoring.

As you step inside, the nostalgia of an old-fashioned diner envelops you, with its classic decor that eerily feels both homey and inviting. Despite being in a less conspicuous neighborhood, the ambiance makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a culinary treasure. It’s the kind of place where the world outside fades, allowing the focus to rest solely on the food.

The standout here, of course, is the burger selection. From the Mytibaconburger that charmed taste buds with its juicy meat and balanced toppings, to their delightful hot dogs and burritos, every bite tells a story of quality and care. Pricing is refreshingly friendly—where else can you enjoy such a filling meal without breaking the bank? A hearty meal here might come in under $10, satisfying both hunger and a budget.

Customer reviews echo the sentiment of deliciousness, with mentions of the perfectly cooked crinkle fries and standout breakfast items that could easily compete with more established breakfast spots. One visitor even shared, "It may have been my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last!"

But beyond just burgers and fries, Mytiburger excels in offering a variety of sides and desserts that complement its main offerings. Think crunchy onion rings, sweet potato fries, and indulgent chili cheese fries to elevate your meal. Don't forget to leave room for dessert; the apple and lemon pies are sweet endings that feel homemade.

The staff's friendliness adds to the positive dining experience, with quick service ensuring that you can enjoy a satisfying meal even during a short lunch break. Mentioning the Jack in the Box app for discounts was a thoughtful touch that added extra value to the visit, urging guests to take advantage of savings for great food.

In conclusion, Mytiburger isn't just a hamburger restaurant; it’s an enticing mix of great food, affordable prices, and a cozy environment. It reminds us that sometimes the best meals are found in unassuming places, where the focus is on deliciousness over glitz. So, the next time you find yourself in Houston, let Mytiburger surprise you. Come for the burgers, stay for the experience. You won't regret it!

I finally got a chance to stop in and try this gem. The prices, staff and food were SO great! It may have been my 1st visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. The crinkle fries were perfect!

Great service and the food was fresh plus I got 20% off my first order using the Jack in the Box app I strongly suggest downloading it and using it

This is a hidden gem. I had their Mytibaconburger and I’d say it was PRETTY GOOD. I’d read a few reviews on their breakfast so I can’t give anyone a good word on that but the pricing and quality of their burgers is again PRETTY GOOD. This place reminds me of an older P.J Terry’s but with a way bigger portion. I love the aesthetic of the restaurant, the aging gives this place a really authentic classic feel. Very liminal almost homey to a certain extent. I definitely misjudged this place due to the neighborhood it’s in but I’d like to say I was wrong. Mytiburger is aging like fine wine and I’d recommend people to give this a try!

Been wanting to try this place. Good burgers. But if an old fashioned place. I got a bacon cheeseburger and wasn't disappointed. Meat was juicy and toppings weren't falling all over the place. Order came out quick, and server was nice. Drinks, ketchup, etc were laid out well. It's an older place, but everything was clean. I wasn't a huge fan of the fries, which is why I'm giving a 4 star. The serving seemed small. They tasted fine, but I've had better. Price was on point though. I think i paid 7.40 and you'd be hard pressed to beat that price anywhere these days.

The food here is amazing and definitely has a home cooked meal feel to it with old-fashioned burgers sandwiches great breakfast items. The service is pretty good they are very friendly and welcoming and the wait time for the food was not long at all. You can definitely make it during a 30 minute lunch.

Nice little mom n pop restaurant with down to earth service. Nothing fancy. Good prices for burgers. I ordered patty melt. It was so delicious. I'll be back for some burgers.

A local favorite! I do think it's time though for the interior to be refurbished and for whatever the dishwashing and tray washing setup is to be upgraded so I'm dropping my review to four stars. The reason it's four stars and not three or two is because two main factors one is a local icon and a great gathering place for friends and two. The prices are amazing. I would also be willing to pay more to see this place. Get improved. I would love to see a big sign outside proudly advertising the pay for the employee like at Buc-ees. Until then, I hope everyone tips well! The prices are so low and the food is good so in this regard I can't complain. I will say it does feel like this place is legitimately feeding people who need food if that makes sense. Anyway, for me it's just a long time local favorite and a great diner to hang out with friends and family at. As far as the food goes personally I only come here for breakfast so I'll speak to that . It's classic diner style eggs and sausage and bacon and different sandwiches etc at amazing prices. The quality of the ingredients seems decent to good and certainly acceptable for me. Sometimes it can be a little less than clean feeling, for instance I always check my coffee mug when I get it! Sometimes they use cardboard boxes instead of trash cans and sometimes there can be a smell at the trash area. And to be clear here I would put all this on management rather than on staff. There's never like a motivated upbeat manager presence like you might like to see at a restaurant. The staff are very friendly in doing their best but they probably aren't incentived properly. They're probably getting the bare minimum to be honest (just look at the prices on the menu). Also, I suspect they are just following the procedures they'd been trained in by management. Personally, I'd be willing to pay a little more to see the quality go up, but at the same time, if this place is feeding people legitimately and serving as a refuge for people with lower budgets, perhaps that's why it needs to be this way and I absolutely respect that. Also the plastic forks usually get placed directly on a sort of dirty looking tray, they either need to use wax paper or put the fork directly on the plate They also have ketchup and Frank's Red Hot sauce available both of which I appreciate. The Frank's Red Hot is available on the counter in a large like about 20 oz size bottle but it gets super filthy by the end of its usage. Perhaps consider buying like 8 oz size bottles or having some sort of method for refilling and cleaning? Honestly, it's super gross. I actually bring my own hot sauce now. Once again this is like a procedure thing. Not complaining here, just addressing practical things and again this is one of my favorite spots and I've been eating here for almost four decades now. I really appreciate this place overall. One more shout-out to the staff!
